Police seek help in sexual assault investigation

The Glenrock Police Department is on the hunt for a masked assailant who reportedly sexually assaulted an elderly woman in her home Sunday morning. The PD received the call at approximately 2:30 a.m. July 7.

The woman said the assailant was a male subject, approximately 5’8” to 5’9” in height with a muscular build. The woman said the subject was clad in a stocking cap mask over his face, with a dark colored short-sleeved shirt and blue jeans.

The Glenrock PD would like to request the assistance of the citizens of Glenrock to solve this crime. If you may have witnessed any suspicious activity between the times of 2 and 4 a.m. Sunday morning, or have any information you feel may be of assistance in this case, please contact the Glenrock Police Department at 436-2777.

Glenrock Police Chief Tom Sweet encourages all citizens of Glenrock to lock their doors and windows at night, and when away from their homes.

“Be a good neighbor and report any suspicious activity immediately,” he said. “By working together with the citizens of Glenrock, the Glenrock Police Department strives to keep our community a safe place in which to live.”
