A season that started so promising for the Herders ended with a thud Friday after they lost 14-22 to the Lyman Eagles in the Nov. 4 semifinal.
Glenrock’s day against Kemmerer belonged to the doctor’s.
Burns had the big bodies to collapse the off-tackle holes in the Glenrock offense, and the Herders were missing the bodies to make the same halftime adjustments that got them to 6-0. The Broncs were able to keep Glenrock off the scoreboard in the second half and won 22-14.
Coming off an upset loss to Burns, Glenrock was faced with a playoff atmosphere a week earlier than intended. The Herders needed to beat Moorcroft to secure home field advantage for the playoffs. The power rushing attack was working this week and Glenrock ran for 381 yards on 50 attempts in the 43-7 win.
With one game left in the regular season, Glenrock football isn’t just running over the competition, they are running well past them.

How do you prepare for a known opponent with an unknown collection of never-before-seen players in the heat of the season when improvement is needed with every snap.
Strength, power, size and heart is what drives the Glenrock playbooks. With twice as many seniors as last year, things ran pretty well against the two-time defending state champions.
A funny thing happened to the Herders in the offseason. All of a sudden, they got really big.
