Two hour early dismissal, sports rescheduled

As of 10 a.m. Oct. 4, 2013, all CCSD#1 schools will be dismissed two hours early due to inclement weather. (Douglas High School will be dismissed at 1:30 p.m.)

Several homecoming activities have been postponed and by district policy, sports teams cannot have practices today.

The pep assembly for Douglas High School will be held today as scheduled at 12:15 p.m. Varsity football against Lander has been rescheduled from tonight to Saturday, Oct 5, at 2:00 p.m. The homecoming dance will be held Saturday, Oct 5 at 7:00 p.m. in the back gym. The DHS swim invite is still scheduled for 10 a.m. on Saturday, with senior recognition. Volleyball against Worland on Saturday is going to be at 11 a.m., Noon, 2 p.m. and 3 p.m. (JV and 9A will play at 11 a.m. with JV in the front gym and 9A in the back gym and varsity will play at Noon.) There will be two gyms going and Wheatland will be here to play Worland as well.

DHS Band will NOT be traveling to Laramie on Saturday for Band Days. The 9th grade Twin Spruce against Cheyenne South scheduled for Saturday, Oct 5, at Noon, has been cancelled.

Douglas Middle School update is as follows:

  • Saturday, Oct. 5 — Volleyball match against Torrington has been cancelled.
  • Saturday, Oct. 5 — Cross Country meet in Wright has been cancelled (possible reschedule for Monday, Oct. 8).
