Melissa Connolly died Friday, Nov. 4, 2016, at her home in Douglas.
Melissa was born on Saturday, Sept. 8, 1973, in Butte, Montana, the daughter of Craig and Sharon (Saari) Monroe. Melissa moved around a lot as a child. She attended and graduated from Kelly Walsh High School in Casper and attended Casper College.
She was married to Shane Richard Connolly on June 12, 1998, in Douglas. They had three wonderful, beautiful girls: twins Savannah and Shaylene, and Maggie. Melissa had special things that she did with her girls: she would take Maggie out to lunch, Shaylene would go shopping with her and help her pick out cute clothes, and Savannah and Melissa were best friends who could talk about anything.
She loved spending time with her husband and girls, taking pictures, scrapbooking, having picnics at Ayers Natural Bridge, traveling, and going to concerts. She had a deep love for her dachshund dogs. Melissa was a strong, wise, fun, heart felt, loving, kind, caring and beautiful woman. She was a happy and down to earth person.
Melissa had a genuine true loving heart that was felt by the whole community. Her smile was contagious and she helped everyone she came in contact with. She loved her job at Flicks Video Store, where she was especially happy to work with her daughter, Savannah. She was a joy to every customer who walked in the door.
She left this world with love and affection for her husband, Shane, and she dearly loved her girls and was very proud of them.
She is survived by her husband Shane; three daughters, Savannah Connolly, Shaylene Connolly and Maggie Connolly, all of Douglas; mother Sharon Banks, of Butte; father Craig (Karen) Monroe of Stanwood, Washington; siblings Chad Monroe of Casper, Jon McCullar of Casper, Lindsay (Jason) Stafford of Houston, Texas, Tommi-Lynn Banks of Butte and Stacy Monroe of Stanwood; numerous nieces and nephews; and other extended family.
