Lyle Gronewald of Gothenburg, Nebraska, makes his way east across the Converse County line Tuesday evening.

A year after being canceled due to COVID-19, the annual Pony Express Re-ride is back with re-enacters riding portions of the famous mail route that went from St. Joseph, Missouri, to Sacramento, California, in 1860 and 1861.
